Stand-alone buildings and facilities which cater solely for the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) market require high levels of both physical and electronic security systems to ensure the safety of all persons associated with a particular event.
Prior to any major MICE Event, organizers will conduct various audits on the facility with a particular focus on security, safety and emergency protocols. Areas reviewed which are considered to be of high importance include sufficient numbers of CCTV cameras in the key areas of the exhibition building and appropriate security devices such walkthrough and handheld metal detectors. There may be a requirement to have X-ray machines in the goods receiving area, should this be a requirement of the organizer.
